EDF is the world leading low carbon electricity provider. It has the greatest European private R&D division.
Since 2018 EDF R&D is involved in Quantum Computing and has developed an expertise in Quantum algorithms including Machine Learning, combinatorial optimization, Partial Differential Equations, Safety Risk assessment and Material Simulation. EDF has published more than 20 papers in the area and has been a partner of Pasquan1.
Our goal is to assess how Quantum Computing can help in the energetical transition which is challenging in terms of computation.
Role within PASQuanS 2
EDF will provide industrial use cases for combinatorial optimization and for material simulation and will help in finding ways to assess them.
